Alberto Prado, Vice President and Head of Philips HealthWorks

Alberto is the Head of Philips HealthWorks at Royal Philips. HealthWorks mission is to boost breakthrough innovation whilst fueling a culture of entrepreneurship within Philips. Alberto has worked with dozens of entrepreneurs, most recently through the Startup Program at Philips HealthWorks. He’s driving strategic collaboration between corporates and startups, to partner with and invest in entrepreneurs who share Philips’ vision of developing connected solutions to radically improve care for our growing global populations.   

Alberto started his professional career as a management consultant. In previous roles he led fundamental transformations in traditional innovation practices in both Philips and across a number of other industries. Alberto graduated in Engineering and Economics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) and holds an MBA from INSEAD (France).  He lives in Amsterdam The Netherlands with his wife and 2 children.

Steve Barsh, Chief Innovation Officer at Dreamit

Steve Barsh is Dreamit’s Chief Innovation Officer and Managing Director for Health. Steve has over 30 years of experience launching, leading and building multi-national companies as well as early-stage venture work. He has helped launch dozens of companies that have generated $400+ million in value. 

He has extensive experience with entrepreneurs, scientists, and physicians on rapid identification and de-risking of critical make-or-break assumptions as well as shaping those companies along with guiding their early-stage venture rounds. Steve taught in the Wharton MBA program at the University of Pennsylvania and has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife and two children and is an IFR rated pilot.


Philips HealthWorks helps startups to validate and grow their proposition with exclusive coaching and feedback from Philips experts, access to its health network for validation of their proposition, hands-on individual sessions to build their business model and structured sessions covering healthcare economics, Intellectual property, business case generation etc. Philips also assesses the potential for investment and further collaboration in its Growth program.

Dreamit HealthTech is an accelerator designed to help startups scale with enterprise customers in the healthcare space and to raise venture funding. The program is 14 weeks (4 weeks in person and 10 weeks virtual) of intensive growth-focused programming, hands-on coaching, one-on-one interactions with executives at large hospitals, insurers, and pharma companies, and a curated investor roadshow.
